Bookings and deposits

A session is only confirmed once we have agreed a date with you and received any deposit we ask for. Deposits secure your date and are applied to your final balance.

Newborn sessions are scheduled around your due date, and we will work with you to find a suitable date after your baby arrives.

Payment

Fees are quoted in Nigerian Naira and are agreed in writing before your session. Any balance is due on or before the date we agree, and finished images are delivered once full payment is received.

Rescheduling and cancellation

If you need to move your session, tell us as early as you can and we will do our best to offer another date. Deposits are generally non-refundable, but we will transfer your deposit to a rescheduled date where circumstances are reasonable, such as illness of a baby or child.

If we have to cancel or postpone for reasons beyond our control, we will offer you the next available date or refund your deposit.

Copyright in the photographs

All photographs created by groovybabyphotography remain our copyright under the Nigerian Copyright Act 2022. We retain ownership of the images and of all files, including the originals.

When you receive your images, you are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to print, share, and display them for your own family use. You may not sell them, license them to others, enter them in competitions, or use them for any commercial or promotional purpose without our written permission.

Please do not crop, filter, or otherwise edit delivered images, and please credit groovybabyphotography when you post them online.

Use of images by the studio

We may use images from your session in our portfolio, on this website, and on social media where you have given us permission. You can ask us to stop using a particular image at any time and we will remove it from our own channels.

Website content

All images, text, and design on this website belong to groovybabyphotography or are used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or use any part of this website for your own commercial purposes without our written consent.

Your session

The safety and comfort of your baby and family always come first, and we will never pose a baby in a way we consider unsafe. A parent or guardian must be present for the whole of any session involving a child.

Photography is a creative service. We deliver a selection of edited images in our own style and cannot guarantee any specific number of images or a particular shot.

Liability

In the unlikely event of equipment failure, data loss, or another circumstance that prevents delivery, our liability is limited to a refund of the fees you have paid to us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
